Sorting, sewing and ironing.

So I thought, as everyone around here seems very creative, that I better dig out my sewing machine, well I have three actually, one very old singer sewing machine that is a manual one, one electric one that is so heavy I have to have help carrying it, and one which I got from my parents about eight years ago but which got broken when we moved house and I need to take it to the sewing shop to have it fixed but you know how it is... I dragged the really heavy one out from the under stairs cupboard using my super human strength. And while I was in the under stairs cupboard, I thought maybe I should get out the huuuge bag of material I had in there and sort it out, and also the other bags of craft stuff I had hanging around, so I spent the whole of the afternoon and the evening Ironing lots of pieces of material. Now I wish I looked like her when I was ironing (but then again if I looked like her I would be out on copious amounts of dates not stuck in ironing whilst putting my hand to my fevered brow).
I put all the lovely smaller ironing pieces of material into an Ikea bag I had ( one of those big blue ones) a
nd it takes up a lot less space than all the other bags I seemed to have acquired Today I tidied up my sewing desk and my corner of disarray, and put things in tins and pots and tried to make it look nice, even though the dining room where it is situated is half wallpapered and really really needs finishing.
Later on I cut out another pattern for a EFA doll which I am quite keen to get a motor on with but I know I have to finish my Alice doll off first! (one of my resolutions, finish what you start don't move onto something else!).
So that is what I have been up too for the last two days. Organising myself (it's a first)
Other news: I missed the bus (well I say that, the flaming driver went straight past me!) when going to pick up my daughter and so frantic was I, I walked very fast taking ten minutes to walk a twenty five minute rou
te. I am so unfit though I am worn to a frazzle now.

I am going to get a bath to warm up, have a hot chocolate, then I am away to my bed.
I know I know, you are all enthralled with my super exciting life! Who wouldn't be.
;)

So, you've basically messed about for two days then have you? No mention of cleaning, I notice. Ironing little bits of material? What about the pile of clothes?!

And by the way, what does a goldfish look like?

If it's any consolation my sewing machine is broken too. I've been meaning to go get a new one for months, it's such a good excuse not to tackle all those projects. :)

I'd love to see the Alice doll!
