Scary Wabbit
I sat and watched '28 weeks later' the other night and I swear I felt like I never took a breath through all of it, (well obviously I must have otherwise I would have expired or turned blue or something). It was very gripping! I used to be able to watch/read all sorts of horror films/books but now I find myself strangely feeble and apt at hiding behind cushions or crying out like the girlie I am when something makes me jump.
So I have discovered if I engross myself in making something whilst watching a film that I find a bit scary but desperately want to watch, its not so bad. (This doesn't work for reading something scary, because you need both hands to sew and are not able to hold the book, obviously)
So whilst watching '28 weeks' I made this rabbit here.
Now poor little fella, he is supposed to have a delicate embroidered nose, but instead he has ended up with a big round hooter. This is because he is made out of 'not very good' felt and when I went wrong and tried to unpick my ungainly stitches, the felt ripped leaving a hole in the front of his face. I'm a big softie though and I couldn't bear to just throw him away and start again. I had to fix him (I am by all accounts a 'fixer' and often attempt to fix things/people). So I stitched a big round pink nose on his face. Also his cheeks were blushed hurriedly and are not as good as I wanted them too be, only it was getting very late and I was still trying to make my hair stop standing on end before I went to bed... but he was just a trial run before I make more for Easter... and you know, I think I like him all the more for his imperfections.

I do exactly the same thing when watching those films - when it gets to the really scary bits I just concentrate a bit harder on the card I'm making or the list I'm writing or whatever. And I love the little bunny, he's perfect. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment on my blog.
Jennie,
Hehe, is precious, I'd love to recieve him in my Easter basket this Spring!!!! He's not very scary tho, he's darn right cute!

You are much braver than me - I never watch anything scary! Don't change the design of the rabbit, he's lovely just as he is!
Hi Jennie,
His nose looks lovely (the bunny ).. I am glad you had good company !
I dont think I have seen 28 weeks later. I watched greyfriars Bobby yesterday, it is such a sweet film , my little boy liked it lots too . x Dominique
How adorable! I love white bunnies.
Although, when you think about the circumstances he was created under one can't help but think he might be imbued with some of the aura. Rabid, zombie bunny! . . . wait I think that's Monty Python joke. :)
Jennie, go and see this:

I think you'll like it!
I think his big pink nose is adorable! And I agree, I always look at magazines while watching something scary. Or fold laundry. Distractions really do help.
This is the sweetest little bunny!! I love his big nose. Don't change a thing about him, it is a great design as is.
I love his nose! I would say it was a serendipitous occasion. He is extremely cute and was obviously worth saving- I am the same way, BTW.
