Books and cats.

I guess when you get a blog, there is so much you want to say you could possibly post every single minute of the day until you have caught up with all of your life. I have 36 years worth to get down on here, and I like to talk, and talk and talk. So I have to rein myself in a bit, so I don't fill pages and pages with my ramblings. *reins herself in* Today I shall talk books and cat.

I received one of my books today. It's this one
I like the look of it so does my daughter. She is not looking much better by the way, so I think she may be absent from school tomorrow and curled up under a eiderdown on the sofa instead. Anyway the book is quite old and possibly musty. I love the smell of books but unfortunately I don't have a sense of smell and so I can no longer enjoy the smell of books, only remember. There are five rag dolls to make, and all based on nineteenth century dolls. The very last doll in the book has lots of joints and odd things going on, and looks a tad complicated.
We went to the library today, that is one of my favourite places to be. My daughter likes to go and choose talking books, then as soon as we are home she runs upstairs puts on a tape and lays on the bed listening to it. Sadly today there wasn't much to choose from for me, but I cannot complain because the last time I went I came home laden with books. Mostly craft books. It depends, some days you call in on the off chance, usually when you have lots of shopping and you end up carrying tons of books home as well. Other days you go in looking for books fully prepared to carry lots home and you come out empty handed.
I was an assistant manager in a bookshop before I had my children. I enjoyed working there very much. We
have copious amounts of books in our house. Books are one of the main staples of our diet. This is a long long list of books I have/want. At the library thing site.

I thought I should introduce you to the man of the the house.

This is Katchoo (after a character in a graphic novel I love 'strangers in paradise) He is not very happy at the moment, because I was given a very nice three piece suite and unfortunately I made the huuuge mistake of letting him scratch my old one, and now I am on his case as soon as he flexes his claw. We have got him three scratching posts which we very considerately showed him how to use but he hasn't really got the knack of it and rubs his head on them instead. I also got some repellent spray to try to stop him. It is citronella based so quite nice smelling to us, but he seems to think we now hate him and he is sulking around the house planning his next attack on that wretched smelling seating arrangement.
Katchoo does not meow, he whirrs. I don't even think he knows he is a cat. He won't go outside it scares him, he follows me around everywhere. His idea of pecking order in the house is Me, my son, him and then my daughter. He is a little odd.

Who me? I think not! *whirr*

This book looks interesting, I had never seen it! You're lucky to find craft books at your library, I live in a small town where there are not craft books to speak of in the library, well at least there is a library. Hope your daughter gets better soon!
