Thank you.

I was so excited to see I had comments on my first post! Thank you Bettsi and Mother of this lot. In answer to your question Bettsi, I do love swing and big band music. So much so I borrowed my sons mp3 player and downloaded some onto to it, so I could listen to it whilst I was out and about. He was very pleased when I gave it back to him! I also like The Puppini sisters who do a 1940's take on modern songs. I got a gorgeous red stila lipstick on the advice from the website, but it is a bit luminous for every day wear.
Very close to where I live In October they have a memorabilia war weekend. I really wanted to go last year but unfortunately my Dad became very ill. He is slowly on the mend now so hopefully this year I will be able to go and see what it is like. Apparently it gets very busy.

I didn't watch my dvd last night because I got engrossed in '28 days later' which was on tv again. I sat and made a small felt mouse and bed which I got from a 'Molly chicken' tutorial for my daughter who isn't feeling very well (just in time for school to start again), so I didn't actually get to bed until two! Then this morning I woke up all fuzzy headed, dizzy and feeling like I had been drinking all night but no! it is just a bit of an ear infection. Luckily we go to my parents on Sundays and my Mum cooked a gorgeous Sunday dinner! I count my blessings I really do!Talking of blessings, today my daughter told me that she had only just realised that I had made the little felt miko cat she had received for xmas along with some miko products I got her from boots. She had thought it was shop bought. What a lovely compliment, especially considering I made it quite hastily and wasn't over happy with how it turned out (I will post a picture of it soon).
I had a great time in the run up to Christmas making scottie dogs from the pattern from Allsorts blog. I made black ones and white ones but I only have a pic of the blues ones I made. I am ever indebted to her for making my christmas so much fun. I love making those dogs. (I even made one on a train journey!)

Anyway I am away for a bath and then on to the sofa to watch the new 'Foyles war' at nine. (It was to be the new verstion of 'Sense and Sensibility but that is repeated next week!).
I am hoping to be more productive when the kids are back at school again! I think it is easier to sew when you don't have to leap up every five minutes to entertain the troops! And I just found my copy of 'The enchanted cottage' and I definitely need a bit of hush around here to enjoy that! (Don't be fooled though, I shall miss them both like mad!)
