If at first you don't succeed...

Give up and go eat a lot of chocolate.... that's what I usually do. So today when I saw this Tutorial for sock and glove animals on Martha Stewart's website, and thinking it looked quite easy, I ended up producing this!Not exactly what I was expecting. So I sat and looked at it, then I thought about just giving it up as a bad job, this state of mind is a very bad habit and one which I am trying to quit. I decided it could be the gloves I had used, very thin ones and easy to misshape.
I remembered we had some wool cream coloured gloves lying around, and for once, I found both of them. I set to work again and this time I ended up with this...Vast improvement!! and quite a funny looking fella (I will be making other things rather than just rabbits after Easter, honest!)
Talking of rabbits, I've boxed up the bunny hop swap, I just have to make the card.. then it is off to the post office and away it goes!!Obviously with more of an address than just Dottycookie.
I don't know what it is about the blogging world, I am now looking at things in thrift (charity) shops with new eyes (well not really new eyes, that would be weird, new perspective I mean!) and yesterday I found a really cute apron. I wouldn't normally look at aprons, I'd go straight for the books or crockery. The pictures I have taken of the apron aren't very good though, I couldn't work out the flash, so I will post pictures of it next time.
J has decided he should take the pictures for me as he would be so much better! Well he may wish he'd never suggested that when I have him taking pictures of everything. He did take a good picture of a robin and a possessed squirrelArgghh demon squirrel... Run!!!**edited because we love Mrs Fox**
