Always make beautiful things.

I won a giveaway over at Dollybelle's Peepshow, and today I received it... Oh WOW! Thank you so much Christine! You could not even know how happy this parcel made me! I could not believe my eyes when I opened the parcel. Not only did it include the book I had won, but another book... and not only did it have books in the parcel... but wrapped up beautifully with these gorgeous flowers... were all these goodiesand these!! And these..So many wonderful things I could hardly catch my breath. L and I spent the longest time squealing over the contents. I wasn't sure what I would do with it all, but an idea is forming in my head which I will tell you more about another time...
The card Christine sent with my parcel said 'Always make beautiful things' and after seeing what she sent for me, I truly intend too.
If you haven't checked out the Dollybelle's peepshow blog yet, I really urge you to do so. Christine has the most fantastic blog. She is one talented, inspirational lady.
Today I got not one, not two, not three, four, five but six books from a couple of second hand shops. It was funny because this morning I had a clear out of books and videos for a charity collection which called around this morning so I guess I made way for some more books to come in.
I could not believe my luck when I saw 'It's vintage darling' a book I cosset on a regular basis from the library. This copy is in immaculate condition, cost £14.99 new and cost me a mere £1. I also got an near perfect copy of 'The Embroidery stitch bible', also for a £1. Who knew there were stitches such as Tete-de-boeuf stitch or the Ceylon stitch or how about the Encroaching slanted Gobelin stitch.. not me, that's for sure... fabulous book. All in all I was very pleased with my day!
And finally a photo of the Easter cards I stitched for my two. It took me a bit longer than it should because I had got out of the habit of cross stitch, but I was pleased with the results.

Hi - what a lovely blog and a fantastic name! I'm a new blogger and I love finding new ones to read and hopefully new friends as well!

Lucky you with the giveaways and your charity shop finds - mine have been disappinting of late - what I thought would be a fab addition to my collection of cake stands was too expensive and too badly chipped to be worthwhile - but you have to keep looking don't you?

April xx
