I am nobody's little weasel.

Happy Valentines to all you bloggers out there. I hope your letterboxes are filled with hearts and flowers (in card form obviously, it would be a bit pointless trying to shove real hearts and flowers through a tiny hole in a door! and every so slightly weird if it were indeed real hearts.)
It took me about four hours to get my front door open what with the huuuge pile of cards awaiting me this morning... well not really..
but the girls were getting excited about something... and it wasn't just the fact they are soon to get some underwear made for them...
Two valentines cards for me today, granted one is made by my daughter, and one is from my Dad who can be relied on to make sure I don't feel like a total loner every year, but they are very important because my daughter made hers and she also made me this fabulous rose out of crepe paper. And purchased with her own money, some lovely body lotion for me as I have been cursed with dry skin because of the interchangeable weather.
And as my Dad nearly wasn't here this year it makes his card, and the fact he always thinks of me and doesn't like me to be all sad and blue, all the more important to me.
(I should add, 'J' offered to get me something but I said no as he was buying something for his girlfriend and that is what it is all about, he did get me some material I had my eye on though, and also my Mum got me some lovely tulips of which I will attempt to take a picture of soon).
I think everyone should get one of these for Valentines day. A candy Handbag!
I got one for 'L'. Its lovely and I wish I had got one for myself then I could wear a candy necklace and carry my candy handbag and look like a real sweetie (har har!)
Anyway the postman hasn't been yet and I'm sure he will be struggling up the road with one mail bag just filled to busting with cards for me!
So for Valentines day I leave you this little clip from 'Amelie' one of my favourite romantic movies.

Jennie, the dolls are just getting better and better! In fact those three look like my three youngest!

I just met your postman. He says he might not make it till tomorrow with the amount he has to carry to your house!

This is such a lovely, heart-warming post, it's made my day!

The cards from your daughter and your father are so precious but equally as special is your appreciation of them. You sound like a lovely family together.

Happy for you:)

Hi Jennie - thank you for visiting my blog. I've had a lovely time looking round and reading yours - you've made some lovely things.

(By the way - I've got some of those flowerpot mugs from Woolies too ... one each of the blue, green, red and pink).

I didn't get any Valentines :-( Except the note my son left on the shopping pad ... To Mum, Happ Valentimes. xxx

Hope you don't mind if I come back again soon? :-)

Thanks both of you!
I am pleased with how the dolls are improving Jackie, I hope to make many more eventually. I prefer the dark haired ones I think.(Probably because I always wanted straight dark hair, not blond curly hair!)
Fancy meeting my postman, he does get about!
Bella that is so lovely of you to say. We are a very close family, that is why last year when my Dad was so very ill it was a real shock to all of us. It's made me appreciate all of them more!
