Turkish delight, sewing machine and carpets!

Uh oh am having one of those moments. I was going to tell you that I caved in and had a 'turkish delight', and now I doing that thing in my head where you say a word over and over again and it just seems weirder and weirder. (Do you do that, or is it just me?)
Also have freaked myself out by something someone posted on my facebook:
'While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it.
Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction!'
Tried it, it is bizarre!!
Anyway, I had a 'Turkish delight', not just plain though, with chocolate :O It was just sat there in the supermarket waving at me and I couldn't get the theme tune from the old 'Fry's Turkish delight' advert out of my head.
Although I didn't have a fella to cut my in half with a sharp implement.. oh and no sand. (Too chilly to go to the beach!)
Other news: I am converted to machine sewing! I made three bunnies in half the time it takes to make one hand sewn. I also managed to thread the sewing machine, put more thread on the bobbin and put the bobbin back in its right place. That is no easy feat for me you see and usually I would have to phone my mum and get her to come over and help me. Instruction booklets for anything electrical just make me more confused, I tend to learn by trying something first rather than reading how to do it.
So three bunnies are sewn, two with Laura Ashley material as the inner ear. I did not know it was Laura Ashley material until the lady in the shop told me (it was on offer) so I got some more and hope to make one of the dolls a dress in it. (Their undergarments btw are a WIP)
One of the dolls is going to be winging her way to the US when she is finished, to join a beautiful little girl called Ashlyn, who's Daddy is in the Army and out in the Middle East. Her Mother is one of my best online friends. We've been friend for quite a few years now and she is very similar to me (Strange as we live so far apart). Had we known each other as children we would have no doubt being like this, but with slightly smaller bows in our hair.
So I am motivated on with these dolls if only to keep my promise and to send one to Ashlyn and to make her Mummy smile.
So three bunnies, they are to be stuffed and assembled tonight and I will hopefully be able to take some photos tomorrow as I have put the camera batteries on to charge (24 hours!) I've been a bit too busy to have a go with the camera but hopefully that will change tomorrow. I must also make a start on the bunny for Dotty cookie for the bunny hop swap!
Ohhh after I had posted my blog on Sunday, and was busy browsing other blogs, L, who I presumed to be tucked up in bed sleeping (silly me), came racing down the stairs to tell me that she had cut her foot and had bled on J's bedroom carpet. In doing so she had left a very nice trail of blood everywhere. All over the lounge (carpet, beige) the hall, every other stair and the landing (carpet, light beige) the bathroom and her brothers carpet. Obviously we made sure he foot was strapped up and then I started on the long and arduous task of scrubbing all the carpets by hand. I can still see the marks, I don't know if that is just me though but I am going to go and buy some 1001 carpet cleaner today to give them another good go. (not me in pic btw)
You know though, Sunday evening, time for relaxing after cooking a big Sunday Dinner, maybe do a bit of sewing whilst watching 'Lewis' (or other detective programme..Marple, Poirot... take your pick). It never quite happens!
So If I haven't managed to catch up on your blog and I usually do, bear with me, I will get around to it!

Ooooh ... my foot changed direction too! :-O

Sorry to hear about L's foot. My daughter was just a toddler and cut her foot one day: she came to me and said "mama ... jam foot" - she thought she'd got jam on her foot! I did get all the blood out eventually. Hope L's foot is better very soon. x

I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggles with the bobbin! :) Although on my new machine it is easy-peasy.

By the way, your bunnies remind me of a mystery series I read. The Aunt Dimity mysteries. An English lady (Aunt Dimity) sends a handmade rabbit to a little girl in the U.S.!

That foot thing is quite unnerving!

Hope L's foot is feeling better now. Blood coming from children - never a good sight :-(

I am about half way through your rabbit ...
