Happy go lucky!

Oh my, after feeling so rubbish, disillusioned and sorry for myself, today I am a happy little kitten! I have found my mojo! (And without the aide of Lucozade, does anyone else remember the bottles covered in the orange wrapper, you knew you were ill when you got a bottle like that!)
So what has brought about this change, well for one I'm feeling a lot better in myself, although I look like I haven't slept for about a year.. but also today I found a book I have been coveting for a while now but totally unable to afford as it was a whole twenty five pounds, which I just don't have spare... ever... but I did so love the book and had to talk myself out of purchasing it on many occasions... anyway, I found a copy today and got it for two pounds, two pounds!! I nearly fainted. I took it up to the cash desk and just knew she would tell me it was a big huge mistake and that actually it wasn't even for sale! But nope, two pounds it was. I do not want to put on here what book it was, as it is quite well known in blog land and I would not want to make the writer feel bad that her book had sold for two pounds when it is worth so much more (and after looking at it, I agree completely) and I obviously would reassure her it was a definite mistake, I was just exceptionally lucky today.

Then I popped into the library and spied two craft books I am loving the look of, I will blog about them another time. and I have also being eyeing the new Lisa Jewell novel but have had to put off buying that one too, (honestly so many books so little money!) and there it was brand spanking new on the library shelf so I grabbed it quickly.
I have decided that I am easily pleased. (Like I spent about half an hour admiring some buttons the other day, and trying to figure out just why I loved them so much) For today the postman dropped an ebay parcel.. a 'Lesley Pearse' novel, and an Amazon rental dvd, onto my doormat, another black and white thriller I'm afraid, I can't get enough of them. This one is called 'Dilemma' and I am happy happy happy all over again!
I have those five dolls cut out and I am raring to go because I have had an idea what I want to do with them and I am inspired and a bit excited about the whole thing! What I like to do, is to sew on my machine whilst listening to the radio, then put on a dvd (preferably a black and white thriller or something on the lines of 'Cranford') and embroider the faces, do the hairstyles and make the clothes.
It is too late in the day now though and L has her friend coming around for tea and tomorrow J's girlfriend is coming to stay overnight (while L sleeps out at her friends) so I won't have time to do any craftiness.. although it is very rare I sew at the weekend, far too many interruptions. I'll maybe just sketch my ideas (I can't draw for toffee so that will be a laugh) and I'm bound to be reading (before sleeping, on waking, in the bath, whilst eating lunch etc) oh and I am going to make 'Nigella's' Malteser cake and I am blaming April for tempting me so much with the picture of hers because she is a malterser addict like me, and because her cake looks so gorgeous and malterserish! :D
I also glimpsed, quite by accident, the trailer for a new Film 'Happy go lucky' by Mike Leigh which is due out in on the 18th. I like Mike Leigh (Vera Drake, Secrets and lies) and I am liking the look of this film, very much! It seems to be a happy one for a change ;) ... and in colour too!)
I've also added a new music bar to my blog, I thought I'd like to copy Kitty! If you want to leave feedback (like 'get rid of it woman, your musical tastes suck!) then feel free. Just don't jump once the music starts like I always do when I go onto Kitty's blog!

Have a nice weekend!

Hooray for your Mojo - you sound full of beans lady. Great on the book front too, I love it when you covet something for ages then buy it at a bargainous price. I feel quite giddy as I'm drinking a glass of beer and never normally drink but Twiglet has been rather erm challenging today and I'm not working tomorrow so what the hey!!
Carry on your good work and have a tiptop wekend

Yes I'll have some of whatever you're on too please! Great to hear what's given you your mojo back, think I can guess what book you got, if it is then what a lucky find! There are so many books I'd like, I have to limit myself to a treat every now and then but it's so much more fun when you find it in a charity shop or at a boot sale. Hmmm, that cho cake sounds delish, might even have a go myself tomorrow. Have a good weekend.
