Tadaaa!

I've finished the utility room, well I have to make curtains and a little curtain to hide the washing stuff underneath but you know, I've nearly finished!! Here are the pics. Sorry some of them are a bit crooked, it's a tiny room and hard to take a picture of!
I'll do before and after pics as I don't mind you all fainting at how hideous it was before. (And I quite like seeing what things look like before they are altered)

Well I like it and I hope you do too. It isn't my property, it's rented, so I don't want to do too much to it, but as we live here I want it to be nicer than it was when we moved in. It's just a case of doing a little at a time and as I am now happy with the utility, I will move onto the kitchen next!
I am doing okay, the steroids are kicking in nicely, (I know because I am suddenly craving meat to eat and usually I'm not that fussed and don't eat much, but it becomes almost caveman like, 'must eat MEAT!! v. bizarre). I have read two Lesley Pearse novels in the last four days, I haven't sat and read a book for a while now, so I am happy that I have got back into reading novels (is this something to do with the bookcase in my bedroom in the knowledge part? I ask myself ;) )
I did a stack of ironing this morning with a brief interval of drawing and cutting out some more dolls. I also want to have a go at the teddy bear shown in the 'Sew pretty homestyle' and now I have the dining room table back from underneath all the utility stuff, I can get my sewing machine going again! Watch this space!

The cake stands are beautiful- I've wanted one of those for so long now. Of course, I'd have to bake the cakes or cookies to go on them, and there in lies the problem.

Maybe in my new American life I can become a little more domesticated :)

I love your blue china too. It's such a calming, peaceful colour.
Your new little room is fantastic- I hope you're enjoying it!

Your utility room looks lovely - so pretty! Well done for putting all that work in, even though it's a rental. Like you say, if you're living in it, you want it to look nice ... and it really does!

Great utility space, I haven't got one. I would love those shelves for putting all of my knick-knacks on, which are at present packed away in boxes up in the loft! You must be really pleased with how it looks. x
