Sooo finally, I've got a job! Its only a temporary contract but its a job! The month long placement I did wasn't meant to end in a job, but my boss said she didn't want to loose me so there we go. Now I just have to come off all those benefits which I have relied on for a long time and take that leap, and even if I am slightly worse off, at least I'll be working in a job I like doing.
Who would have thought I'd end up working in Business admin, not me certainly
I have also passed my Business and Admin NVQ level 2 and level 3!
Hopefully now my four week placement of thirty hours is over I will have more time to blog, for the last month I have just worked and slept, how tedious and dull. I really need to get on making things for Christmas too, it's nearly here!!

Hooray for you, a job is a job, so well done!! I'm starting my new job on Monday evening, taking minutes at a governors meeting, I'm bricking it - argh!! ho hum!! I really need something more permanent though, now Twiglet is off at school - boo!! I'm just about to cut some fabric up and make some Christmas stuff.
Keep cosy

well done on the new job! and passing NVQ 1 AND 2 , you've caught me up, I passed my NVQ 2 in Admin when I went back to college age 40 so thats quite a few years ago now!
my son also had a work placement as well and he's been offered a job, well they couldn't really turn him down after he stopped a shop lifter! not that they stole much, he works in poundland, so guess where all our xmas pressies will be from this year!

Congratulations on the new job and hope it leads to lots of opportunities. Well done on the Christmas cake, too. It looks great.
Congratulations on the job, Jennie! That's great news. Looks like this coming New Year will be a lovely fresh start for you in more ways than one. Take care. x
