Ottoman love.

Well I spent all Friday fixing, painting and covering this ottoman. I have a few nice blisters on my hand from pulling out all the rusty tacks and I had to attach a new lid top which took me a lot of trial and error but I got there in the end, put on some foam and covered it with Cath kidston material. I also trimmed it with some Gisela Graham ribbon. It all goes quite nicely with my £5 rocking chair and carboot find CK cushions :D
And my ribbon trimmed lampshade :D I hope everyone is having a nice bank holiday. We are going to the ex in laws this afternoon for a buffet lunch which will be a nice change. Its lovely and sunny here but I think it's really cold :/
Things are growing in the planter, I forgot where I planted everything so I am hoping when they grow I have more of a clue. I got these knitted cupcakes from my mum for Easter. They look nice on my cake stand. It's from Avon, J got me the cake stand and L got me the teapot/cup for Christmas and the baking set was something J got me for my birthday. I'd been after it for ages.

If you are ever in North Yorkshire and you visit Pickering do visit Reeds newsagents. Downstairs it looks like a normal Newsagents, but if you go upstairs it is a veritable feast of gorgeousness, check out *Annes blog* and the *website* for pictures of the lovely items in the shop. Absolutely beautiful.
Its where I got my little red tin tealight holder house from. (and the love heart tealight holder which I showed in my December post).

And then in Scarborough you can find Bespoke Country, with yet another Aladins cave upstairs. You can check out their shop *here*. Two of my favourite shops, and the places I visit when I need cheering up :D

well done on the ottoman, I wouldn't know where to start!

I like Bespoke Country as well! that's when I started making braided rugs as I really wanted one but the shop was closed so I thought I'll have a go at making one, I've just finished my 4th last month!
