Bah I love having the kids off school but how much washing and ironing can they possibly go through, and why do I always feel like I am cleaning and tidying the exact same things over and over!! I've given up. The house will just have to look like a tip for the next week and a half! I'm feeling a lot better although the penicillin made me feel quite ill. I haven't been just sitting around though. No! In my absence my friend tried to teach me to crochet... I have knitted
(just as a practice so nothing to show) whilst watching Mansfield park, and Northanger Abbey.... and I have made another bunny. (Sorry blurry photo again!) Yesterday the kids took themselves off to the beach for the day (I am a redundant mother *sob*) So I baked a chocolate marble cake
I used my new food mixer and whilst I do covet and blow kisses at this type of mixer
I had to make do with my bargain Ainsley Harriot version
(that is most definitely not my kitchen btw) which didn't work too well (it refused to turn!) but it made a nice enough cake. I also took El here on Saturday 'Bondville model village' which is incredibly sweet. So if you are up near Bridlington or Sewerby take a look. I think that is all I have to report today. Ooh how could I forget. I saved up and treated myself to a new sewing machine.

Nice to catch up Jennie, glad to hear you're feeling better. Just ignore the mess, you'll get it all back straight in no time once the kids are out from under your feet. That's what I do anyway.
Your bunny is so cute, sorry I'm not the right person to ask about pricing, I have no idea..but I bet you'll have no trouble finding customers!
I drool over the Kitchen Aid mixer too, I would love one but they're so expensive and out of my range. I'm sure you'll get much better use from your sewing machine.
Have a good week

Hi Jennie- it's good to see you back! LOVE the bunny! I wonder if someday you might want to do a private swap with me for one of those bunnies? I'll let you think about it and decide what you might like from me. That flower is delightful too as is your new sewing machine!
Sorry to hear about your poorly throat, hope it's getting better. Love the bunny especially the dress. Very cute. No idea about prices have you checked out the etsy shops.
Summer holidays are fun but it is always a bit of a relief to get them back to school and resume some semblance of normality
You seem to have been incredibly busy!! I hope you are feeling better? I love your bunny...I'm sure they would sell well..but am not too sure about price ;-)
Hello lady
Glad you're on the mend. Thanks for the advice re: Twiglet, Mr Twigs is coming on Twiglets first day and will pinch me if I cry :) The bunny is gorgeous obviously the red buton finishes it off perfectly :) As for pricing erm, have a nosey and see what everyone else charges on Etsy I reckon. Your cake looks a bit scrummy as well. We came to play in Filey over the weekend, but didn't call for you cos you were poorly :( we will soon though so be warned!

Glad you are felling a little better. You are like me sewing in front of a film/DVD/programme. It is a good way to sew I think. The little rabbit is so cute. Price is tricky , I usually as my frined who is very honest and I my best customer too for ordering items. So a second opinion. Perhaps cost of raw materials and double it or add a certain % added on. Failing that stick some numbers in your mixer and pull one out. (But do not plug it in!)
I`m have been very busy with the laundry...also!
Can`t wait for my x3 "rugrats" to go back to school and be back wearing school uniforms!LOL
By the way... the cake, bunny and your new sweing machine look wonderful!
Thanks for stopping by!
kisses Kisses

I love Nutella, I confess to scooping it out with a teaspoon and just eating it as it is! I like the rabbit, but I am useless at pricing, whatever you ask it has to cover your material and postage costs and also a little profit for your time and effort. By the time you have added it all up, you wonder whether anyone would pay the final price, it is so difficult, I know from my webshop! So glad you have managed to enjoy some of your days even though you have felt rotten, you sound on the road to recovery now, I hope. x
Hi Jennie, your bunny is absolutely adorable, I love the combination of blue and red, glad the fabric came in handy! I should think they would sell very well, it's difficult with pricing though, you want to get some return for your efforts but not price yourself out of the market either. Although I sell handmade items it's not my main income - I don't think I could make a living out of it, I would have to charge so much that I probably wouldn't sell anything. Having said that, don't undersell yourself, as others have said, check for similar things on the internet and price yourself somewhere just above the average. I would decide what you think is a fair price, then add 20% as you will probably have decided a price that's too low. Besides, it's easier to drop the price than it is to raise it once you've started. Really the best thing is to put a couple up for sale and see what happens. Hope that helps,
Lucy x
Hi Jennie
Hope you are feeling better. My hubby has a sore throat at moment it looks like its bug time!
I definaetely know youre bunnies would be popular. Perhaps you could aim for doing a craft fair with lots of bunnies. Easter time one would be good . I know I would rather buy a bunny for the kids than a chocolate egg!. I think they would want both though! Its hardwith pricing as I can see how much love and care goes into them and not forgetting time!. I will keep my eye out

Hi Jennie, Glad to see you are feeling better. Mandy
Loving the bunny. I'd definitely buy a cupcake (obviously!) one. Just hurry up and decide on a price! I've resisted buying a KitchenAid too and am more than happy with my (much cheaper) Kenwood Patissier (which looks like a direct copy, I'd have to say). Happy sewing!
