Bears drawing cake.

Well I am afraid I am going to have to make Film Friday, Film weekend instead! I have been so busy this week I have not had chance to take a breath.
First the girl and I baked this, L decorated it (splendid job I thought) and then I cleaned up! I like to encourage my children to cook meals and bake... but the mess produced!!
Then we had these little PIF rascals running around the house causing chaos!Trying to pick my Sweet peas! Attempting to wake the hamster up and stealing all our Manuka honey!! I was glad to trap them into padded envelopes and send them to their new homes. (the two pink teds were very well behaved I have to admit!)
All that messing around that teddy bear did, our hamster escaped! Luckily she is a bit daft and when I put her ball down (the ball she rolls around in) she just climbed inside of it! Thank goodness. She did have a marvellous time eating wallpaper behind the radiator before we caught her though.
Now she is back in her cage but planning her next escape!
Finally I am going out tonight! I know don't all faint at once!! I am a bit nervous, it has been a long long time since I have been out after dark. I'm not sure what to wear, are white stilletos, puffball skirts, bat-wing jumpers or rara skirts still in I wonder? ;)
It's my friends birthday and we are going for an Italian meal. One drink and I'll be on the tables dancing!!
I was short of funds so I decided a home-made gift was the best option. Taking a picture my friends youngest daughter had drawn, I put together this embroidered lavender pillow.
I hope she likes it. It is the first time I have attempted anything like this but I am quite pleased with the results!
Hope you all have a good weekend. I will be back with my Five favourite black and white thrillers tomorrow (barring any hangover!)

Black and white thrillers????? Like with Peter Lorre and Boris Karloff and the like?? Ooh, lady! That sounds so very luscious!

Oh, Hi! I saw you over at M.Kate's site, thought I'd pop in being somewhat of a crafter myself. I have to say you're better at it than I am *blush*. Your stuff is certainly very pretty! I'm blown away, really! I really like the concept of embroidering a child's drawing. Have a super fun weekend!
Cheers!

Have a great time Jennie. The Football Fanatic advises that you take your stilettos off before you dance on the table.

And believe me, she should know.

Lovely bears! I could never make such time-consuming things as PIFs - you're very generous! I love the drawing embroidery and may steal the idea one day. And I'd love to sample that lovel cake!
