I think it just best we ignore the fact I disappeared again or that I may actually do it again soon. I do actually have a camera full of pictures to show you, its just getting the batteries to put in it to transfer the pics, and the transferring and copying and... I mean come on, that would make anyone take yet another big break.... oh okay you are not buying it... hmmm
So anyhoo, I thought I would just do a post about things I've been keeping myself occupied with, as in films/radio and books.
I must be getting old because when I was young I could watch any horror film and not even flinch but I find lately that I just cannot watch them like I used to be able too. For instance the 'Saw' movies, I can't even go there. I love suspence scary films. I watched 'The orphanage'
and I found that a whole lot creepier than watching people being tortured maimed.

I have finally succumb to the whole 'Twilight' mania that has been sweeping the world and watched the movie.
Did I adore it? Yes it was okay. It's the whole vampire thing for me. I have only just recently stopped salivating over vampire 'Mitchell' in 'Being Human' I need the dvd of that series and I need it now! Superb!

I've been listening to the radio a lot lately, especially digital radio 7. You can do lots of exciting stuff whilst litening to the radio, like sewing, a bit more sewing and maybe a bit of sewing. I have been listening to Alan Bennet reading stories from his life, very entertaining and he also read 'Wind in the Willows' There is something about listening to stories being read (especially ones from your childhood) that is infinitely soothing. I have also being listening to sherlock holmes ooh gripping stuff.
I've been doing a lot of reading as well (I know, get me!!) Jumping into the 'Torey Hayden' fan club.
I did just dismiss her books as a 'I had a really bad abused childhood' there seems to be a lot of them now. Whilst I don't mind these books, when I was a teenager I could never get enough of them (my mum said she was worried about me for a while there) I do somehow feel a bit like a vouyer when reading them now. Anyway Torey Hayden was a special needs teacher for children with emotional problems. And her books are incredibly informative as to the teaching and techniques she used to help these children. I have read all but one of her non fiction books, and I am just making a start on her fiction book ' So that's what I have been up too really. Reading, watching films and listening to the Radio.. exciting huh?

Nice to hear from you again, I noticed you'd gone AWOL, but with good reason it sounds like :)
Glad it's not just me who's a bit slack in the blogging department. I can't watch horror films, I'd spend most of the time with my fingers in my ears and my eyes closed!
Hello stranger, nice to see you back again. You are NOT a bad bloggy friend, real life just carries us away at times and that's not a bad thing.
twiggy x
There's nothing wrong with going AWOL if you're having fun. Good to hear that you and the sailor are still enjoying each other's company. I want to watch the orphanage now, but I spook real easy so I might wait til I have company.
I don't think it is that you are older, I think horror movies have changed. They are gore, not horror now.
I'd forgotten that I wanted to see the Orphanage, thanks for the reminder! I'll be looking for that one at the video store.
I have a utton onmy blog that I found a year ago which basically says that you are under no obligation to blog! As and when I say and it is sometimes good to do other things every now and then too.
