So it finally happened...

I know, I know, I have been away for yonks and yonks, only popping in to say 'here is a bunny I want to give away' and neglecting you all.
Anyway drum roll....The winner of my giveaway is...
KITTY!
Hand picked by my son who always complains I leave him out of things. So congratulations Kitty you have J to thank
You know though, I would have made bunnies for all of you had I the time and the money ;) One day when I am rich maybe!

Thank you everyone who left comments! and thanks for the congrats on my 100th post.

In other news I went to see my single parent adviser last week who encouraged me to join a training programme. I am all for training programmes to help you get back into work, but to be honest I am not relishing the whole 'team building, getting to know yourself' lark that it entails. The only good part is that they can put you on a placement which may lead to a job so I can try the Library or Waterstones.
Two years ago I did a training programme but worked on the children's ward at our local hospital. I loved it and was offered a job as a HCA, unfortunately the hours were just to difficult to work around and so I am leaving that as something I would like to pursue when they have both left home...
which is not too long. J is going to look around York university on Saturday and he hopes to go there next year which will mean him going into digs and coming home at the weekend. I can feel empty nest syndrome calling already and have been a bit out of sorts about it... but you can't keep them forever!

oh yeah and I got this book today! Love it! well just love Cath Kidston really. Just look how cute the Stanley hot water bottle is!

Good for you missus, I'm sooooo pleased for you. Now this training malarkey sounds good, ease yourself into it, know what you mean about team building though. I used to work in sales and had to do loads of these - urgh!!! Anyhoo, means to an end and all that.
Life is VERY interesting lady!
I forgive you for me not winning the mucky bunny as Twiglet called it.
Take care and wahey! all the nice girls love a sailor etc.....

Is it me? :-O

Wooooooohoooooo! Thank you J! If I lived nearer, I'd give you a hug and a kiss. Yay! We're getting a rabbit. We're getting a rabbit!

As for the training thing - go for it. You never know when what they teach you might come in handy, or open a door or two? If it doesn't it doesn't ... but it might.

And as for the Sailor thing ... Have another wooooohooooo! If it feels 'right' then there's not much else to say, is there? I hope you and he and the kids (his and yours) will be really really happy. With knobs on. :-D

How wonderful that you have fallen in love. I hope it all works out for you. There's no feeling quite like it.

Good luck with the training too. My daughter was at York's chemistry camp during the hols and loved it there. I loved the shops too- the ones around here are a bit too High Street if you know what I mean.

Love love the look of that book. I dribbled around the Kath shop in York and was totally overwhelmed with expensive wonderfulness.

How exciting, your news brought a warm glow to my heart!. You go for it girl, I'm sure you can overcome any difficulties if you're both determined.
I always say grab any training opportunities that come your way, you never know what doors they might open.
Have a nice week.

Just popping in to say hello. I visit Kitty all the time, saw her blog roll and noticed your title...we both apparently like Alice in Wonderland. I got a chuckled over your header when I saw it, I am sure you may do the same if you see mine.

Adorable story about your sailor boy. :)
