1. Friends.
My best friend sent me these yesterday to cheer me up! I reckon he's just fed up of me moaning on at him all the time on msn and he does have an ulterior motive, if he's nice to me I take cake to his work!
2. Finding a new bowl for £2!
Perfect for strawberries, however when I came to take a picture and took the strawberries out of the fridge, they were past their best... oh well tomatoes look rather nice in it too!
3. Unexpected bloomage in the yard!
Ellies pot of flowers, blooms every year, I don't touch it, just leave it to nature. So pretty today.
4. The cat sunbathing in my bedroom!
After a menacing time scratching my carpets he's settled down and is now playing at being adorable! He even used his scratch post today!
5. Being given a large bag of sheep's wool
by Jamie's girlfriend, from their farm, which I am going to wash, dry then use to stuff dolls and bears with... hopefully!
6: Having the woodworm sideboard
taken away for me yesterday so I don't have to worry about it anymore... only downside is.. where do I put all this!!!
8. Finding Burt's Bee's lip balms for £1.99 at Boyes...
gorgeous!! (Especially the cherry one, I have a thing for cherry tasting products).
9:Being bought a brand spanking new toaster
by my Mum because she knew how fed up I was everything seemed to be going wrong. It even has illumination! (whatever that is!)

Wow. I dont even know what to comment on. The bowl? The new toaster (which I covet, by the way)? The tomatos, lip balm? Those are fantastic reasons to be cheerful!
Well, you have a heck of a lot of reasons to be cheerful there!! Sal ;-)
Look at us gettin' brave! I'm a sucker for a bookshelf photo, I love to see what folks read and loved enough to keep. I'm curious about the illumination on the toaster. Maybe the slots are lit so you can make toast in the dark.
Did you ever watch Red Dwarf? Talkie The Toaster? I'm probably revealing my nerdiness again.
lovely bunch of flowers! and the shortbread looks yummy and I've had a good nosey at your bookshelf as well, I've got the 1940's book and some dream books as well!

Love the bowl, good for you finding lots to smile about - I need to do that.
April xx
Well hello good lookin' - lovely to 'meet' you.
Love that red bowl, and I also have a Breville illuminated toaster - it has a sort of countdown thing on so you can see how close to 'ready' the toast is.
I'll be interested to know how you get on with using the wool as stuffing.
Take care. x
Lovely things to be cheerful about.
Have you tried felting and acid dyeing your wool? We recently went to day held by the Lakes and Lancs guild of Spinners Dyers and Weavers and I couldn't believe just how easy felting and dyeing were -the children loved it. I got the websites of the places where they bought the materials-I could send them to you if you liked?
Have a good weekend,
Best Wishes,
Melanie
Hi Jennie,
Hope you are ok. Bless your mum getting you a lovely new toaster, mums are too good eh!.
Your flowers are lovely. That shortbread looks delicious as usual!. As well as being good at making bunnies & teds, you are good and cakes & bics.
Hope you are feeling ok. You did a grand job on your bookcase. You must look on freecycle now your sideboard has gone .
I have terrible hayfever at moment and fed up sneezing, it makes me cross !
I have lots of catching up with my blog to do
Hi Jennie!
Thankf for popping by, and your lovely comment!

Just looked through your film list, I can't beleive I have only seen amilie - My Daughter is a film student, and all we seamed to have watched for the past 12 months is quentin taratino stuff - too much blood!!!

Oh I do like to see who's behind the blog, nice to "meet" you properly! I like to see a well-filled bookcase, can't resist having a nose....they can tell you a lot about the owner I reckon..you have a varied selection there ,I think a cup of tea and a chat with you would be great fun!

Liz: The toaster is a marvel, it counts down in illuminated dots as the toast is done! We all watched it in awe!
Sal: I have indeed, sometimes it just gets buried underneath feeling sorry for myself!
Mrs Fox: I took my cue from you and decided to show myself! The illumination is on the front, lets you know when your toast is nearly done! Very fancy.
I did watch Red Dwarf, loved it, but I can't remember Talkie the Toaster!
Josie: The shortbread was yummy. Weird looking but yummy. You shall have to show me a pic of your bookcase and we can compare!!
Driftwood: Thank you :D
Dollybelle: Thank you toooo! :D
April: You had a very awful time. I hope you find something to smile about very soon! *hugs*
Kitty: Thank you! I will let you know how I get on with the wool as stuffing. It rained on it the other day so hoping it cleans itself really LOL.
Melanie: Thank you for stopping by my blog! I've just looked at yours and I'll comment very shortly.
If you could send me the websites that would be great!
Dom: Same here about the hayfever, in fact in that pic my eyes are red rimmed from hayfever. It's hideous at the moment. I can't have my windows open on a morning because I start sneezing so much!
We don't really seem to get a lot of good things on our freecycle!
Juicyfig: Thanks for stopping by. It gives me some hope when couple's meet later on. Makes me feel like not such a lost cause!
I don't mind Tarintino but have to be in the mood to watch that type of film... which isn't that often.
Cathy: Thank you, I decided I should stop feeling sorry for myself.
Lucy: I do have lovely family and friends it's true. I am blessed, for all my complaining.
Gill: I think a cup of tea and a chat with you would be great fun as well! I always go straight to peoples bookcases when I visit because I also believe you can tell a lot by a person by what they read.
illumination on the toaster? Is that like a car with neon under it? I am intrigued....I need to see it in action!!!
What a lovely lot of happy things - I would be smiling too!
Well, that's a lot to be thankful for, congrats! Your photos bring a little warmth to this cold, rainy corner of the earth...
Great reasons to be cheerful. Bookcase looks fabulous, some good books among your collection. I wonder whether illumination means you get glow in the dark toast??
